I have had the privilege of representing Innisfil since 1994, first as a Councillor for 20 years, then as Deputy Mayor, and as Mayor since 2018. Over those years, I have seen our community grow and change, and I have remained focused on growth that brings opportunity while protecting the things that make Innisfil a great place to live.

As your Mayor, I have focused on getting things done by working collaboratively with Council, our community partners, and other levels of government. Together, we have built strong relationships and delivered results that will have a lasting impact on Innisfil.

We successfully advocated to the Province for the expansion of employment lands around Highway 400 and are working with the County of Simcoe to bring expanded water and planned wastewater services to those lands. We recently welcomed DSV Global Transport and Logistics 1.3-million-square-foot facility to Innisfil Heights. Northern Transformer recently announced Innisfil will be their new home with a 207 million dollar Investment in our community. We are excited to see this momentum continue through our Innisfil Heights Investment Readiness Program and initiatives, which was the award recipient in the Planning & Strategic Development - Rural Category at the EDCO Awards.

We continue to advocate and work with Metrolinx and the Ministry of Transportation to bring an operational GO Station to Innisfil, so that we can fulfill the Orbit vision, and manage our growth in a responsible way that will allow us to maintain the balance between growth and our rural roots.
I heard clearly in the last election that the community wanted more opportunities to connect through local parks and events. By the end of 2026, we will have opened 6 new parks, redeveloped 4 local parks, opened the Town Square, enhanced the Cookstown Library Community Park, and completed the Phase 1 improvements to Innisfil Beach Park. We also launched Winter Weekends, InnisFALL, and a variety of youth programming including the highly successful Teen Nights.

I believe municipal leadership is about listening, bringing people together and delivering practical results. My experience at the municipal, County and Provincial levels has given me the knowledge and relationships to advocate for Innisfil, and I remain focused on building a community that works for the people who live here.

Looking Towards The Future

Over the next term, I will continue the work we have been doing to build a stronger, more prepared Innisfil.  We can't stop growth, but we can shape it.  As our community grows, we will increase our focus on improving roads and infrastructure, planning for the housing and services we need, protecting our waterfront, rural areas and community character, and making responsible decisions that deliver value for residents and taxpayers. We have accomplished a great deal together, and I am committed to building on that progress, listening to what you feel we can do better, and preparing Innisfil for the future.

What The People Are Saying

Serving Innisfil has always been about working with people, listening to different perspectives and earning their trust. I’m grateful to the residents, community leaders, business owners and colleagues who have taken the time to share their experiences working with me.  These comments speak to the things I have tried to bring to public service throughout my career: experience, integrity, collaboration, respect and a genuine commitment to the future of Innisfil.

Mayor Lynn Dollin has served the Town of Innisfil with passion and integrity for literally decades and has not grown stagnant in those years of service. She has faced the challenges of the position as a council member and as mayor and has maneuvered her way to build a team that can make the big decisions required. While she only holds a single vote on council like each of them, she has respected the opinions of others and accepted the process that the “majority rules”.

Howard Courtney, Community Pastor at Large

“In my years as a resident, and a lawyer representing clients within Innisfil, Lynn has been transparent, fair, and future focussed. We haven’t always agreed — that’s the nature of my work — but Lynn is trustworthy, collaborative, and focussed on the best interests for Innisfil.  Our community is fortunate to have Lynn as Mayor.”

Marvin Geist, Barrister and Solicitor

Mayor Dollin leads with conviction, humility, and heart. She treats everyone with respect, speaks thoughtfully of others, and consistently puts service before self. I truly believe she is the right person to guide Innisfil into the future with honesty, strength, and dedication.  I proudly stand behind my Mayor and wholeheartedly support Lynn Dollin for re-election.

I believe in local government because it provides the services you count
on every day.

Municipalities and the services we provide are heavily influenced by decisions made by the Provincial government.
For cities and towns to serve their communities effectively, it’s important that the province understands how its policies can either help or hurt municipalities and the taxpayers who rely on us.

That’s why I chose to get involved with the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO), to have a voice, advocate for our communities, and help make a difference.

Working for Innisfil
Twenty four years as Innisfil Councillor and Deputy Mayor and in 2018 I was elected Mayor.  I also was elected by my piers to be the Deputy Warden of Simcoe County.  I serve on the Police Services Board, InnPower and InnServices Board , The Simcoe Muskoka Board of Health
Picture
Past AMO President
Elected by municipalities across Ontario to represent almost all of Ontario’s 444 municipalities. I advocated for change that would allow municipalities to operate more efficiently and with the proper resources.

I believe strong communities start with strong local representation. Municipalities need a voice at Queen’s Park that understands the realities we face every day and is willing to stand up for local taxpayers.

I’m asking for your support so I can continue that work. If you share my belief that our community deserves a strong, experienced voice, I would be honoured to have your vote.

Please consider putting a lawn sign on your property and helping us show that our community is ready for change.

Would love your support and to hear your ideas.
